CARPETS
There are many varieties of carpets in Morocco and tribal traditions. We can still distinguish two main families: Berber carpets and rugs citizens (woven in Rabat, Casablanca or salty). Leather
Moroccan leather has been known for centuries worldwide. This is also the fourteenth century that we began to hear about "morocco", a word which means leather from goat and sheep from Morocco. Wood
Woodworking is ubiquitous throughout the country, but there are still regional specificities. Fez, Meknes and Sale are cities famous for painting on wood called "Zouak"and for the latticework. Besides painting and sculpture, marquetry and inlaid wood of different species (lemon, oak, exotic and sometimes mother) are also Moroccan specialties. They have the reputation of the city of Essaouira and objects from this work are still very popular.
